“Tonight we’re talking to Anix Consulting, they’ve been involved heavily in the run up to this World Cup…” was Heart FM’s Sports Cage presenter, Tapfuma Makina’s intro to an interview with our MD, Rhiyaan Cupido.  Anix was profiled during the “Business @ Heart” slot on Tapfuma’s show which is hosted by Wajdi Abrahams.

Particular emphasis was placed on Anix’s internationally benchmarked Visitor information Centre model, which was implemented in the five least visited provinces of our country. Funded by the then Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEAT), these centres will serve as touch points for both local and international visitors to the 2010 footballing spectacle and beyond.

With final preparations at fever pitch in the “Republic of Cape Town”, Anix Consulting’s involvement in the preparation of the Swartklip Sports Complex Fan Park in Mitchells Plain was also highlighted. Desiree Petersen, an Anix employee who works on the Working for the Coast (WftC) project, shared her experience of being a part of the build up to this historic event at Swartklip. The WftC team is assisting the City of Cape Town with clearing and greening activities in the Swartklip complex precinct.

We look forward to an amazing month of footballing euphoria, and to building on to the legacy this event promises
